Amarone Wine Tour
Valpolicella is one of the most important wine regions in Italy and home to the famed Amarone wines. Located just northwest of the historic city of Verona and east of Lake Garda. Fine wine has been produced here since Roman times and indeed the name is of ancient origin- Valpolicella comes from “Vallis Polis Cellae” which means “valley of many cellars”.
This one-day Amarone Wine Tour of the Valpolicella vineyards begins in Venice. The tour is with a professional Sommelier and takes in two high-end small estates. You will visit the cellars and vineyards and learn about the fascinating heavy work intensive production of the Amarone wines, as well as the sweeter Reciotos. You will have also the chance to taste an Italian lunch. This is a fantastic full day wine tour for guests looking for authentic wine experience and an introduction to some of the best Amarone wines in the Valpolicella.

August 22nd 2010
Dear Mario:
Ciao from Florida! I am sorry it has taken me so long to write this letter, but things were just so hectic at home and at work upon our return from our trip.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for our private tour of the Euganei Hills wine region on August 22, 2010. Although we were in Italy for 6 days and on a Mediterranean cruise for 2 weeks, I can honestly say that day was easily on of the top highlights of our trip. Your attention to detail was extraordinary. Selecting one small, family winery and one larger, more commercial winery truly gave us a chance to see (and taste!) wine from different perspectives. We thoroughly enjoyed both wineries we visited. The hospitality provided to us was unforgettable.
Likewise, your choice of a place for lunch was superb. Lunch was easily one of the best meals we had in Italy. Thank you for your guidance in navigating the menu and for information on other menu items. We just wish we had you to pick all of our meals during our trip!
Finally, your generous and welcoming style made the tour enjoyable. We have had several private tours where the subject was interesting, but the guide was a bore. You made everything interesting for us and didn’t seem to mind doing it. Your service was exceptional and we will never forget our trip – especially the day we spent with you.
