Colli Euganei Wine Tour
On Saturday all year roundWe suggest a guided tour in a small group with other wine enthusiasts (groups are no more than 6 people) and you will be escorted on a full day excursion to the Euganei Hills region, a vulcanic area that has been famous for its wine since the ancient Roman Empire, and that was the private “vineyard” of the “Serenissima Republic of Venice”.
Your scenic drive will take you through the vineyards, in the hills that are surrounded by numerous Venetian villas. During this excursion you will have 2 tastings in the best cantinas of the area and a light lunch at a typical restaurant
This is the program
- 10.00 a.m. Departure from Venice (Tronchetto).
- 10.45 a.m. Arrival at Arquà Petrarca and visit the first winery and wine tasting.
- 01.00 p.m. Light lunch at a Local restaurant.
- 02.30 p.m. Scenic drive through the hills where you can see the different type of vineyard.
- 03.00 p.m. We stop at the second winery for visiting and wine tasting.
- 04.30 p.m. Return to Venice (Piazzale Roma)
- 05.00 p.m. End of the trip.

Ciao from Florida! I am sorry it has taken me so long to write this letter, but things were just so hectic at home and at work upon our return from our trip.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for our private tour of the Euganei Hills wine region on August 22, 2010. Although we were in Italy for 6 days and on a Mediterranean cruise for 2 weeks, I can honestly say that day was easily on of the top highlights of our trip. Your attention to detail was extraordinary. Selecting one small, family winery and one larger, more commercial winery truly gave us a chance to see (and taste!) wine from different perspectives. We thoroughly enjoyed both wineries we visited. The hospitality provided to us was unforgettable.
Likewise, your choice of a place for lunch was superb. Lunch was easily one of the best meals we had in Italy. Thank you for your guidance in navigating the menu and for information on other menu items. We just wish we had you to pick all of our meals during our trip!
Finally, your generous and welcoming style made the tour enjoyable. We have had several private tours where the subject was interesting, but the guide was a bore. You made everything interesting for us and didn’t seem to mind doing it. Your service was exceptional and we will never forget our trip – especially the day we spent with you.
